Contributing to the Clark Street Beach Bird Sanctuary (CSBBS) is a wonderful way to honor a loved one and provides a gift to the Evanston community and our natural environment.
CSBBS develops an annual Habitat Plan, and donations are used to implement this plan. By giving a donation to help us plant and maintain native shrubs, grasses, and wildflowers that provide habitat for birds, you will contribute to welcoming migrating birds to the Clark Street Beach Bird Sanctuary and Evanston.
Donations to the CSBBS through the Evanston North Shore Bird Club are tax deductible as the ENSBC is 501(c)3 organization. See the donation instructions below.*
Donors may request that funds go to natural grasses, perennials, and shrubs that are part of the Habitat Plan. Requests for specific plants can be considered, but overall flora and fauna needs will take priority in the selection and placement of species planted. Donations for plants may be given at any time of the year; however, planting will occur during the proper planting season. Donations may also go toward gardening tools, signage and markers, and the like.
You will receive a letter acknowledging your tax-deductible donation. If the donation is for plants, once the plants are in the ground, you will receive a map of the planting location(s) and, if desired, a personalized tour of the site. Donations over $500 will also be acknowledged through a certificate sent to the donor as well as recognition in the Evanston North Shore Bird Club quarterly newsletter and on the CSBBS website (unless the donor chooses to remain anonymous).
Thank you for considering donating to the Clark Street Beach Bird Sanctuary.
