Our heartfelt appreciation goes to all those considering a donation to the Clark Street Beach Bird Sanctuary (CSBBS). This is a wonderful way to honor a loved one, and provides a sustainable gift to Evanston's human and natural communities.
Your contribution will help welcome migratory birds to Evanston. Donations to CSBBS help provide bird habitat through plantings of native trees, shrubs, grasses and wildflowers, in accordance with CSBBS's annual Habitat Rehabilitation /Planting Plan.
Donors may request that their funds be applied to specific parts of the planting plan, such as natural grasses, perennials, shrubs or trees. Flora and fauna needs take priority in determining which species are planted where. While donations are welcome any time of the year, actual plantings occur during the proper planting season.
Donations made to CSBBS through the Evanston North Shore Bird Club (ENSBC) are tax deductible, as ENSBC is a 501 (c) 3 organization. Donations may be made online (through www.ensbc.org) or can be mailed to ENSBC (c/o Libby Hill, 2715 Woodland Road, Evanston IL 60201). Please specify "Clark Street Beach Bird Sanctuary" and note whatever memorial or honorary information is desired.
All donations will be acknowledged upon their receipt. Donations of $500 or more will be recognized via a donor certificate, the ENSBC quarterly newsletter and the CSBBS website, as well as annually on the sanctuary's onsite kiosk. Trees and shrubs are warranted for one year. In the event they do not survive the first year, they will be replaced at no charge. Occasionally, plantings must be transplanted or removed. Questions about plantings may be addressed to CSBBS Stewards.
